There’s a movement gaining momentum everyday and it’s global! It’s about mentoring, inspiring, and empowering one another to realize we can all make a positive difference; simply by passing on kind acts and good deeds.
Angela is a registered nurse who specializes in medication and physical therapy. She was employed full time at this really busy job for over ten years already, but she felt like she had not fully utilized her talent and energy to help people. Therefore, she suddenly quit her job at the center and decided to volunteer at the senior center to take care of the elderly. Angela then shared one of her most memorable experiences.
Angela Lee once met an old woman who lost her husband and she had been devastated for a long period of time. Angela did everything she could to help her get through grieve of losing her loved one. She started to recover after around two years of patient counseling and enormous emotional support. Angela described that she had never been this satisfied when she saw the big smile of an old lady since these two years. She described the whole volunteer experience as a perfect way to make a positive difference in this world. Angela learnt to be patient with the elderly and she found this whole process very rewarding in the long run.
Every person that helping the elderly may highlight it on this website just as we have done for Angela Lee. Now you too can create your own PIF program based upon your "gift" or a specific "Pass it Forward Moment that happened in your past." For more information, go to www.aunitedworld.org.
The Pass It Forward Movement embraces all religions, and political beliefs. If it doesn’t appeal to 100% of the population then it is not part of this movement.
