American Association of University Women (AAUW)
Mostly scholarships for college or higher-level students. However, there are awards for K-12 teachers encouraging girls^ interest and achievement in math, science and/or technology.

Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation
Grants for teacher equipment and training and grants for schools and school districts. Individual teacher grant information can be found at the Technology Leadership Program Web site.
7/30 -emailed info to info@gatesfoundation.org and left message at 206-709-3140 ( grant inquiries). May take them up to one month to respond according to recorded message.

Grants for education, environment and international community development.

For All Kids Foundation: Rosie O^Donnell
Supports at-risk and disadvantaged children by funding nonprofit organizations that provide child care, health care, education and other programs in underserved communities. Focus is on childcare.
7/30- Primary focus is on child-care centers for low-income families. ( according to auto-responder message. Sent info to grants@forallkids.org 
 
The Foundation Center
Offers non-government resources for grant-seekers.
7/30- Resource center for grants. Spoke online to librarian who directed me to online source of 92,000 grant makers. Available for free at libraries only, or for subscription online.  May be a great source of potential grant-making foundations.
 
Iomega Corp.
Iomega does not have computers to donate, but does donate Iomega products (e.g. Zip disks and drives) and some small cash contributions to qualified applicants to support K-12 education. Submit requests in writing on an ongoing basis.
7/30- Data storage corp.- you can apply for grants in writing to Julie Beilo - no email or direct line but left a message for her at 858-314-7000. No info on site about community outreach, grants, etc.

Provides grants to nonprofit organizations for new equipment, equipment replacement and modernization, improvements to facilities, and educational materials.
7/30- They are not accepting un-solicited grants but emailed Trista, the program officer, our info and site. They are located in Glendora, Ca., the phone is 626-852-0092.
 
McRel: Funding for Technology
Information and links to assist educators in acquiring funding for technology. Contains reports, articles, bibliographies, strategies, grant/proposal writing, and funding sources on the Web.
7/30- No website found. NASA Aerospace Education Services Program (AESP). Provides free presentations and other resources in aeronautics and the space sciences for teachers, students and the general public.
7/30-Nasa Aerospace - no website found.  National Fish and Wildlife Grants   Learn what programs have been funding in the past and how to apply for a foundation grant. Other foundation programs are also listed.
7/31 - Not appropriate category for us - all to do with conservation and preservation of wildlife.
 
The NEA Foundation for the Improvement of Education
Grant programs from the National Education Association teachers^ union.
7/31- Good possible match - located in Wash. DC. Called 202-822-7840 and spoke to Susan Burk who referred me to Bill Miles, Program Director. I emailed him at wmiles@nea.org   I sent him the website.

Funding for science and technology-related fields and endeavors.
7/31- Not appropriate category. Science and technology and research only.
 
David and Lucile Packard Foundation
Awards grants in specific areas including conservation, population, children and families, science, arts and more.
7/31- The two areas of their focus is on establishing pre-schools, and child health insurance, and specific counties of Calif. Not really a fit for us.
