There’s a movement gaining momentum everyday and it’s global! It’s about mentoring, inspiring, and empowering one another to realize we can all make a positive difference; simply by passing on kind acts and good deeds.
Gail Lynne Goodwin, founder of InspireMeToday.com and her husband, Daryl Slattengren, will take off in a small prop plane from Colorado in late 2009 to circumnavigate the Global and literally hug the world. Thier Global Hug Tour will stop in more than 50 locations over a period of five months.
On a mission to make a difference, they will:
- gather great wisdom from Inspirational Luminaries in the far reaches of the globe to bring back and share on InspireMeToday.com
- deliver more than 2,000 hugs at each location to literally wrap the world in 100,000 hugs
- share more than $1,000,000 of abundance with important causes along the tour to help education, health care, women and children's issues, clean water and social entrepreneurship
After leaving Colorado they will head to Canada, Russia, Japan, Asia and the world beyond. They estimate it will take nearly 5 months to visit 50 cities/countries for 3-7 days each, delivering 2000 hugs/step, for a total of 100,000 hugs.
The 31,000 mile tour around the world will be covered in fifty-six legs of 300-1000 miles each. Media will be invited to fly on select legs between cities and film the event firsthand
While giving out hugs, Gail and Darryl will also be helping one person at a time to create their own Pass It Forward Program and present it to We, The World (WTW). When their creative pass it forward program is approved by WTW as a WTW - 501 (c) (3) Nonprofit Program, WTW will notify the director of the new program. The new program will then send a donation to WTW and WTW will give them back 90% of their donation (as WTW did for Gail and Darryl) in the form of a grant made payable to the Director of that new Pass It Forward Program. Every WTW volunteer will be able to highlight their program on the Pass it Forward website just as Gail and Darryl have, and recieve donations for their cause on their web page. See below.
The “ The Pass it Forward Movement” embraces all creeds, religions, and political beliefs. If it doesn’t appeal to 100% of the population then it is not part of the movement.
