What is PASS IT FORWARD?
PIF gives everyone the opportunity to make a positive difference in others’ lives.
This is accomplished on one’S own time, from the comfort of their own home.
All mentoring is done online, all over the world.
Language translator programs make it easy to mentor internationally without restrictions to different languages.
How Does Pass it Forward Work?
- PIF believes that everyone has a gift and that everyone is passionate when appreciated.
- A PIF Mentor (volunteer) helps the protégé to find their purpose and define their gift.
- The PIF Mentor then helps the protégé to develop a passion based on their natural gift.
- The PIF Mentor will then help the protégé implement their gift through networking
with like minded people and organizations.
How is PIF Implemented?
- Protégés participate in a 30-minute online chat with their mentor.
- During this process the protégé is simultaneously being trained to do the same thing for others so that they may then pass it forward too.
- Each protégé then becomes a mentor and earns a web page/program based upon their purpose, passion and gift.
- Protégés also gain access to resources which will enable further networking to achieve their goal.
What is a PIF Mentor?
- PIF mentors recognize a problem and help to make it better from that moment forward.
- Dwelling on a problem is not part of PIF. Helping to solve a problem is part of PIF.
- Everyone has a gift and all mentors only mentor in their specialty (gift).
- Nobody gets screened or refused. Everyone who wants to `do what is right’ gets a chance.
- All conversations are monitored online in real time by PIF supervisors.
- If a mentor abuses their privilege they will be removed from the PIF website.
Benefits of Pass It Forward
- Everybody has ownership of their own PIF.
- There can be as many PIFs as there are people.
- PIFs can be applied to help a school or a non profit to raise awareness for their cause.
- Many PIFs help raise needed funds for schools and non profits through mentoring and acts of kindness.
- PIFs put everybody on an equal playing field.
- In a future world, the question at a party would be what are you doing to make the world a better place, or what is your PIF, rather than what do you do?
PIF as Community Service
- PIF has successfully made online mentoring available as form of community service.
- For example, 30 hours of community service means that 59 people can be mentored by the community servant.
- Making a positive difference in another’s life this way is easy, attractive, highly effective, and extremely satisfying.
- Experience shows that after their duty is up, former community servants are likely to stay on and keep mentoring because they enjoyed helping others.
- Verification of time served can easily be provided to the community service program supervisor.
- Community servants can serve from their own homes, on their own computer, on their own time.

- There is just so much government can do without our help.
- PIF is a vehicle for people to network, unite and move forward together.
- PIF is free of ideology and its purpose is global collaboration.
- Collaboration requires that one follows basic positive values.
PIF participants must abide by ALL six pillars of character, which are Respect, Responsibility, Sharing, Caring, Trustworthiness and Citizenship.
- Persons who abide by these pillars of character will likely address others with tolerance and a positive attitude.
- If one is involved in something negative or destructive that hinders progress, it will `turn people off’ and therefore is not part of PIF.
- The collective consciousness of PIF is to be compassionate, for a compassionate heart is more effective than not.
