COMPASSION:
1. On a separate sheet of paper, write a one-act play: Demonstrate how you can show compassion for someone who is sad.
2. You just found out that a good friend has to move away. Write down what you could do to make them feel better.
COOPERATION:
1. Your parent(s) have been working extra long hours lately and are exhausted. Think of some things you can do to make life easier for them and then do it. Write down what you plan to do.
2. Imagine you are the coach of a sports team. Your best player is not cooperating and the other players are getting frustrated. How would you handle this? Think of at least one thing you can do.
FRIENDSHIP:
1. It is very late and your best friend has called you because they are very upset about something. You need to get up early for school but your friend needs you. What should you do?
2. One of your good friends has been cheating in school. How can you get them to stop? Should you tell on them?
HONESTY:
1. Your parent asked you to do something and you didn't do it. Usually you just make up some excuse. Tell how you could be totally honest and be sincere about doing what you were asked to do the next time.
2. You didn't study for a test and copied off of someone else. You know it was wrong and now you feel bad about it. Describe if and how you will tell your teacher and what the consequences should be.
PERSEVERANCE:
1. Imagine you are a really good singer or dancer and you have entered a competition that is really tough but you could become a star! Talk about how perseverance could help you to achieve your dreams.
2. You haven't been trying as hard as you could in school and your grades aren't what they could be. Write down some goals and what could help you to improve your grades. Do you think it will be worth it in the long run?
RESPECT:
1. You have become a famous author and teach at a big university. What are some things about you that others admire and respect? What would you want people to respect about you?
2. You are a writer on a hit show. Write about an episode where one of the characters does something that earns the respect of the other characters.
RESPONSIBILITY:
1. You want to run for class treasurer. What would your poster say about you and responsibility?
2. You feel you should have a later curfew on the weekends. But first you have to show that you are ready for the responsibility. Write a short speech to convince your parent(s) that you can be trusted.
SELF-DISCIPLINE:
1. You need to study for a big test but your friends are asking you to hang out with them. This test is important to your final grade and you have been working hard all year. Describe how self-discipline could help you make the right decision.
2. Pretend you have a twin. One of you has a lot of self-discipline and is very responsible and the other twin has no self-discipline at all. Write a short story about what happens to the two of you when you are both adults.
SHARING AND CARING:
1. Someone you know has been having troubles at home. Let them know that you care and are thinking about them. You can let them know by a hug, a smile, a note, or even a flower. List at least one thing here that you did or plan to do.
2. Imagine yourself as an adult with your own family. How would you show them that you care about them?

1. Your teacher has given an assignment that is really tough for you. But you really admire this teacher and want to do well on it even though it means spending less time with your friends. Explain how giving up something fun now will pay off for you in the long run.
2. Set a new goal for yourself and commit to sticking to it. Maybe it is getting along better with a sister or brother. Maybe it is helping out with more chores at home. Could be getting a better grade in a subject you struggle with?
